This blog is designed to serve as a media to communicate my knowledge and experience concerning economic business environment, which focus on discussing the variety of aspects in the business environment that might influence the performance of many companies in Indonesia.

As we all aware, after the ending of cold war and the emerging trends of globalization, almost all dimension of external factors that are facing by the Indonesian’s companies have changed dramatically and affected the company performance and governance. The turbulence of external factors have been caused by both economic and non-economic factors which include information and communication, technology, politics, law and order, demography, regional autonomy, social and cultural. These factors will influence the company business process and productivity with different magnitude and impacts.

Based on my experience and knowledge in observing the changes in the business enviroment factor in Indonesia during the past 15 years, it could be concluded as follows:

(1) Business environment in Indonesia nowadays has a tendency to give numerous problems and challenges compared to the period prior to economic crisis in our country.
(2) Those business enviroment factors have changed more frequently and create obstacles which require business solution in the long term.
(3) Many successful companies in our country usually are those companies which have strategically anticipated the impacts of external enviroments/factors.
(4) Those companies that are failed and bankcrupt are those companies that have not prepared and anticipated the negative impacts of its business enviroment.

Considering of all the external business environments in our country, the efforts to learn and understand these factors become a need in order to achieve company vision and missions.
